Benjamin EB .22 Pistol
Apart from my love of motorcycles the other thing i have in common with Robert Pirsig is that i was a technical auther for a while, and like Robert i got over it.
Consequently this review will be more subjective and concise.
LOOKS:
It's 50s retro all the way from it's single screw hard wood grips to it's black on brass finish.
FEEL:
I was amazed how small and light it was, the grip is very small but comforable to shoot with it.
FIREING:
It is bloody LOUD (like the rimfires from the good old days) not neighbour
friendly if you wanted to do a bit of garden plinking.
The trigger is harsh and a bit vague, but having said that, the gun is very accurate and will group well once you get used to it's idiosyncrasies.
POWER:
This is where it scores for me with Bisley Magnums it kills bean cans very
spectacularly! and RWS Hobbies seem to suit for targets.
I get approx 35 shots from a co2 bulb (full power 25 shots) not a lot i know
but this is a powerfull gun, swings & rounabouts etc.
FUN:
Very much so I bought it on a nostalgia trip the same as my Webley Tempest, a nice gun to have in your collection and fun to shoot, £109.95 from JSR.
