    Combro CB625: Calibration Question

    Hi all

Suppose you had a true muzzle velocity of, say, 700fps, but your Combro read, say 693, what setting would you apply to it to reflect the correct velocity.

The instructions on the web-site say: -

"The calibration value is normally set to 100 but by adjusting it down to zero you can make the cb625 read 1% slow and by adjusting it to 199 you can make it read 1% fast with other values in step."

I phoned Combro and the guy i spoke to did a test whilst I was on the phone, he seemed to think that the above instructions were the opposite of his observation!!!

Hi Cam. I would put it to 0 and try ten shots. Put it to 199 and try another ten. It should be obvious from the results. Please post the result

    Hi all

    WARNING!

This is what it says on the COMBRO on line manual: -

"Calibration settings. The cb625 should provide accuracy to within 1% if used properly however some people prefer to be able to fine tune it to match another chronoscope. The calibration value is normally set to 100 but by adjusting it down to zero you can make the cb625 read 1% slow and by adjusting it to 199 you can make it read 1% fast with other values in step."

    This is what I have tested 3 x 10 shots: -

    On 0 setting 806.40 fps

    On 100 setting 789.00

    on 199 setting 788.40

So, by my interpretation, the on line manual is incorrect.
