    importing scopes from US

    hi, i've seen scopes in the US seem much cheaper than in UK, particularly on the arcadian website, has anybody ant experience of importing scopes from US? i have imported camera equip before and am aware there will be customs to pay, but are there any other problems?

    Plenty of stuff from Maccari, only takes a week to ship and you get alot of dollar for the pound.

    I've had 3 Bushnells from Arcadian, excellent service, delivery in a week to ten days. 2 got through without VAT or customs handling charge.

    The Maccari Scopes are very good but he only has one model at the moment.

    thanks for info, not heard of maccari scopes- is there a website?

    yes was looking at bushnell 4200 5-15 i think

    Gus PS remember the warranty may mean sending a scope back to the US, or if a Busnell, the repair centre is in Belgium, I think.

    Just got this from a US supplier I was hoping to deal with...

    thanks for the replies, yes i was concerned that the export of rifle scopes out of US may be a problem- as some sites- optics planet i think say they can't, but sounds like arcadian can - prices are excellent, think i'll get a bushnell 4200 4-16 x 50
