Well, I happen to have an S200 combo for sale on here, Katie.
Nice little gun.
Welcome to the BBS.

Hi everyone
I've been using a .22 HW90 for two years for target shooting and a little rabbiting, I've got quite good now and can get 2" groups at 50 yards. I'd like to upgrade to one of these aqualung powered guns to let me shoot rabbits a lot further out.
Whats the best gun to get for £300?
Thanks people

Whilst admiring your optimism, I think you will find that most people on here would only advocate shooting at rabbits at the sort of distance where you can comfortably hit a 1" target 10 times out of 10. For the majority of .177 shooters, this would be out to about 35 yards or possibly 40 if you are really good.
Welcome to the board, by the way.
A PCP is not going to gain you much distance on the springer
you have already. It will only make the firing cycle smoother
and maybe decrease your grouping sizes due to not having
any recoil.
For £300 I would go for an AA S400, but you need to budget for
scope charging system etc.
Hope this helps,

I'm back.
Will I be able to get rabbits at 70 metres or so with one of these, how much more poweryful are they than what I've got now?
Thanks boys

Why do I get alarm bells ringing?
Katie, 12 ft lb guns aren't suitable for these distances on live quarry.Originally Posted by Chav Girl

Bells?
Half that distance at maximum with a sub 12ftlb rifle.Originally Posted by Chav Girl
Probably no more powerful at all. HW 90 will be 12ftlbs if it's in reasonably
nick, so you won't gain anything in range, just less noise and no recoil.
Even an extremely good shooter will not attempt rabbits at over 40mtrs with a 12ftlb rifle.

I'm back.
We shoot much further than that but then I have a massive scope.
We often get new members saying things like; how can I get a more powerful gun or telling us that they can shoot rabbits at 100 yards with open sights.Originally Posted by Chav Girl
No offence Katie, but you sound like one of those.

Must be the same ones I'm hearingWhy do I get alarm bells ringing?
K, might I respectfully advise that you search on previous threads before you post much more about rabbits or anything living at 70yards. As previously stated 40 yards max with an airgun. Your expectations are likely to cause some caustic replies before long.
Do some research and when you have you'll be very welcome here.

If the scope's massive, you'll struggle to hold it still for the shot, wouldn't you?
