AA S400 10.9ftlbs

I recently chrono'd my friends S400 using AA field pellets. It came out at 10.9ftlbs. Is that correct factory power setting or slightly low?

I'm agree with that, unless he's using it for FT then you would start to notice it, it also depends where abouts in the charge you chronoed it.

.177. I chrono'd it approx 150bar so well into the sweet spot. His S400 has occasional power drops half way through the charge so I think it may have to be checked by AA as its only 3 month old!

Theres no need mate,AA send em out like that to make sure it stays legal with any pellet,as stated above another half ft/lb isn't gonna make much differance.

Just to save yourself some grief further down the road (as it were), I'd sample a couple more fills. Top up to around 190 bar, fire off 10 then start to measure. You're actually looking for the highest reading. If possible, try using Bisley Magnums. You need to make sure you don't cross the 12ft/lb theshold.

You won't be far away, but if the rifle is dumping air then that's another issue.

Cheers. It does suffer power loss though which is strange. The cocking action suddenly becomes easy, it then makes a noise like its running on empty for the next few shots then corrects itself which I dont understand at all? Anyone got any ideas?

You need to chrono all those shots, it's the only way to know exactly what it's doing, other wise we're just guessing.
