    posting air-rifles

    what is the best way to send a gun through the post....which service....? best way of packaging...? cost....?

    Put the stamp in the top right corner

    No seriously mate, I have found the Post Office to be less than reliable so would
    probably invest in a private courier. They aren't much more expensive and tend to
    take more care of the items.

    Make sure it is boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap and securely taped up.

    I use parcel2go, a DHL service for expensive items. Costs about £12 and they collect from your house. Very reliable and quick.

    Hi I agree Post Office is good. As for boxing go to your local gun shop and see if they have any old boxes that they get there guns delivered. They are always thrown away.

    Royal Mail Special Delivery™ Next Day....seperate the stock from the action, bundle up with plenty of bubblewrap and pack in a sturdy cardboard box.
