    Gunshops in or near Newport

    Hi Guys and Gals

I have to go to the passport office in Newport on Friday to get my sons passport. This will entail a 4 hour wait...rather than wasting my life, I wonder if there are any gunshops in the vicinity I could visit?

    Thanks in advance, Duncan

    Keens

Fluffyback, out of the two Keens is a much better shop with an
excellent selection and great "airgun orientated guys".....Keens is just outside
Bridgend at Aberkenfig literally 1 mile from M4.

You goto Litts and as soon as "Mr Baretta" walks in you'll be blanked!!

Better offer taking the 30min drive to Keens..BUT what out for speed camera vans on M4!

    Good luck

    Phew!

    Phew!

Just got back from Very Sunny Wales and Newport!

Thought I'd report on the two gunshops visited as a result of your suggestions!

Went to Keens first, longest drive at 28 miles but easy to find and well worth it!

Great shop with good new and secondhand rifle selection, from £40 to considerably more! Including lots of non-wood stocked models. Scopes for all pockets and loads of accessories for sale, good choice of knives. Some good targets, bought a little one with a bell for £11 and another deeper one with sloping sides for £19 which are apparently quite popular. Large clothing section upstairs at very competetive prices. Genrally large selection of most anything you would need and sales guys not at all pushy. Free Parking outside.

Went to Litts second on my way back into Newport, easy to find again. Great selection of clothing, lots of clothing sale stock from £19.99 for waterproofs!
Good selection of Air rifles, no secondhand on show, including the new US Air Rifle, cannot remember the name but reviewed in one of the porno mags this month as just being unveiled, its a takedown, suspect CO2, that comes in a Guitar Case! Late £300's. Again, un-pushy staff! Free parking outside.

Both Highly recommended and a MUST if visiting south Wales. Worth the drive!

Overall, what a 'Grand Day Out', thoroughly liked Newport and the people and will definately visit again, with the family next time!

    Thanks for the recommendations guys!

Glad you enjoyed your day in Wales, if you ever venture further West, call in Neath Guns, no frills, no sales staff, but what the gunsmith knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!
