Hi Matt....I didn't mean to worry you, I love the Rifle....I just need to get to know it, thats all. In actual fact I had a really good day with it...got a second place at Shepreth on Sunday....I just wondered what other peoples experiences of the EV were.

    Lee,

Was just worried you weren't happy with it.

Like I said in the mails the rifle hasn't had a full tin of pellets through it yet so will probably need a few thousand pellets before it settles down.

    regards,

    Matt

You should be getting grouping like this at 55yards with JSB'S
    The centre is 16mm.

    pb,

With the rifle I was getting groups like that and smaller at 55 yards, sometimes 5 shot just larger than a single hole - daren't fire any more in case group was wrecked.

How many shots have you put through your EV?

    Regards,

    Matt

Not sure to be honest Matt, but it must be about 4 to 5 thousands I would have thought.

Lee, my EV2 is a left hand one, and I just wondered if there was any small sensitivity related to handedness. The left hand rifle has exactly the same action as the right handed so the mass distribution is the same although the hold will be marginally different, cheek on other side of rifle etc.

I bought mine second hand three weeks old, virtually unused. It took at least four or five tins of pellets through it before it settled down.

When AA fitted the new firing valve (FOC) a year ago last month they gave me a chrono test sheet beginning at 780, 37 shots between 782 and 786, 12 other shots, peak reading (on its own) 791. The gun hasn't been altered since. I clocked 781 on the BFTA recently recalibrated chrono at the inters, and a check yesterday on the club chrono had five shots between 782 and peak 788.

After reading all your replies I get the feeling I should shoot it for a while, get a few tins of pellets through it and generally just get used to it. Which won't be a problem as I really like the Rifle.

The EV2 has such a nice feel to it. Not as big and heavy as some FT guns but substantial enough. I think it also makes a good HFT gun, which is what I intend to use it for. I do prefer dedicated target rifles but some are too much of a handful to be scrabbling about in the mud with.

    Thanks for all the advice.

Matt, I'm really happy with it...thanks very much for a very nice Rifle.
