They aren't hugely difficult to strip, you need to be careful when pushing out the big cross-pin at the front end, then the spring and piston are easily removed from the front end. The trigger is quite fiddlt to reassemble if a full strip is necessary, it is worth making notes and drawing diagrams so that you can reassemble easily. With the 240 Magnum it is important to replace any washers in the trigger mech properly as the safety catch parts have to be quite precisely aligned to work properly.
Like I say, if you make notes and diagrams as you strip it you should be ok. You will need decent punches to push the pins out, be careful not to damage the finish around the pinholes.
You need two longer than usual Hex keys to get the grip off so that you can remove the trigger guard before stripping the trigger.
Give me a shout if you have any specific problems!

It's the only bloody one you haven't got then I think I saw one of these on Dowlings s/h list for about £70 if it's of any interest to you mate. The List's been taken down but you could always give them a ring.Originally Posted by Paddy_SP
No, no - there's loads I haven't got (yet) I'm still after all the late model Airsporters (S, Stutzen, etc.), a couple of Mercurys (Challenger, 635), a Merlin, a VS2000 and a few others...
