New Shoot

Fairly new to this game I've been really lucky and managed to gain permission to shoot in a wood near me, I'm being shown the boundarys in the next few days after this It's a case of ringing before I go shooting, would It be best to spend a few days walking round getting familiar before actually shooting, any advice gratefully recieved.

Yeah, I'd definatly go on at least one trip first without a gun, just to check everything out, make sure the place isn't full of ramblers or other nutters, and get a feel for what's around. It aslo means that if you do come accross anything that isn't as it should be, you can sort it out without the added concerns associated with guns.
