It might be a little bit out of your way, but you could go to Steve Smith's just next to Newcastle Airport.
[EDIT] Just looked at you location, you're probably closer to Steve Smith's than Thorn Dell.
I recently joined St. Giles club in Durham City, can highly recommend

As said in an earlier reply Steve Smith's Shooting Ground near Newcastle airport (just outside Dinnington) is always good value. It will cost £3 for a whole day's shoot in a section reserved for airguns. Sunday morning usually sees several keen rifle shots as well as some other regulars who shoot pistol as well - practical pistol, that is. Get yourself along there as there is no need to 'join', just sign in and then you'll meet some really friendly and knowldegeable blokes.
thanks alot thats a great help lads
im gonna check them out and i'll let you know how i get on
thanks again.......kwiky
Anyone who wants to learn more should try one of the many bfta clubs.
you don't have to be an ft nut to join, most clubs are open for you to just come and give it a try and get some free advice
