    Question Losing CO2... Crosman 2260

    Hi fellas,

I recently had to take apart a Crosman 2260 (Rabbitstopper) so that I could remove a stuck CO2 cartridge. Reassembled with a new cartridge and the rifle seemed to be working OK. After leaving it for 4 days without use I have found the cartridge to be empty. Presumably there's a leak somewhere... are there any 'O'-rings that I should have renewed and is there a repair kit avail from Crosman
    Cheers lads,

    Beardy.

It could possible be the valve end seal - part number G397-012
This is a small pink seal that fits on the end of the brass valve assembly, which the CO2 bulb butts up to.
You could try cleaning the seal or it could be cracked.

    Thanks Colt,

I've restripped the gun and found some crud on the seal you mention. I'm also going to renew the other O-rings and seals too. I've tried Chambers gunsmiths in Scotland for some spares but their emails just bounce back. Any ideas where I can order some Crosman spares?

Try AGS, they are the main distributor for Crosman in the UK.

Thanks again for all your help and advice guys I received the parts from AGS this morning and have now renewed the transfer port seal and O-ring as well as the bolt O-ring and powerlet seal.
The transfer port ring and seal was a little fiddly to fit but it's all lubricated and reassembled now! Just have to remount the scope nice and square and then it's off down the garden to zero in.

It did Pete Zeroed in the scope @20 yds. Targets are pinned to a 1/2 inch piece of plasterboard and the pellets are going straight through and taking chunks out of my composting bin 5yds behind that
