    leaky spitfife

    hi anyboady ever striped a spitfire as ive got a leaky one and want to do it myself but need a strip down please

    Tried it with my Spitfire. Managed to get it apart , then the fun begins.... special tools required to re-assemble.
    IMHO send it back to BSA, full service, vat, post and return 3-5 day service all for £41.00ish. Not really worth the hassle of trying.

    AS buckshot said you need special tools.
    See if your local gun smith will do it for you.

    Give them a ring, they always pick up the phone. BSA have always given me great service.

    I thought that originally they were designed not to hold air for very long... I know that sounds stupid, but I'm sure that was the case...

    These things reallly can't can't be assembled by yourself... they have special jigs at BSA for these
