Hi,
Is there an obvious reason not to go for a 12l 300 bar when buying new over a 7lt 300 bar seems you get 70% extra capacity for 27% extra cost ?
Cost from Uttings 180 vs 230 ?

Done a lot of diving so quite used to it but your point is valid.

It depends how much room you've got in your car. The Webley 12l 300bar from JSR is a bargain at £180, but its an industry gas cylinder, ie, long and thin.

I have both 7 and 12 litre bottles. I only take the 12 with me if taking my FAC gun with me, otherwise the weight of the 7 wins hands down.

You laugh at me because I'm strange I laugh at you because your stupid!
A Turkey is for Christmas not for life.
Just spoke to JST that 12l fellow is 5feet long. That certainly would be comedy to dive with
Sounds like 300bar 7lt it the way forward and the £140 from jsr incl guages and delivery is probably better than any second hand one.

12.2 Litre 300 Bar to Fill
& a 3. Litre for taking on Shoots
Topping up 3 litre from 12.2 Litre.
