The pellets should not be hitting the silencer.
Take the gun back to the place you got it from and let them check it out.

Hello everyone(again)
Think i have posted in the right section this time!
Anyway, I bought a webley stingray on thursday and i am having problems zeroing in. Every time i use the gun i have set up the scope and i also have to set up the scope while i am using the gun. I have shot approx 400 pelets so far. It seemed fine for the first 100 shots but now the pellets sometimes hit the silencer. Is this normal for a new gun or should i take it back to the shop so they can check it out? The scope is a simmons and i am using jws superdomes. Thanks in advance. Andy

Is it a long silencer that you've fitted?

Yes it is a weihrauch approx 20cm long.
Take the silencer off and try the tests again. If you don't get any more prolems then you know for sure its the silencer.

Hi, have tried shooting without silencer and the pellet is miles off the target. Didnt have time to zero in after i took it off but does this prove anything? Could the barrel be bent after being heavy handed when cocking.(no jokes).
put a chrono on it....or send it back...!
That is probably a good indication that the silencer is causing a problem. Re zero and shoot your hundred plus pellets. I have a zero shift on my S400 when I remove the silencer even though its not hitting the baffles or body of the silencer. Don't ask me why though.

you need to shoot a group with and without silencer. or get someone else to shoot it as you may have just been changing your grip if your new to springers. hope you get it sorted mate
Dont forget, that by adding the silencer to your rifle (carbine version? ) you,ve lengthened your barrel by that much.
With a recoiling rifle that has a slow lock time you could well find that this muzzle flip is what might be causing the pellet to clip the silencer.
If the rifle is still innaccurate without the silencer on then your zero is obviously well out. Re-zero without the silencer and see how you get on.
I wouldnt advise you to go trying to sort out your rabbit problem with this rifle just yet. It sounds like you need a lot more practice first.

just double checking...you say you set the scope up every time...
your not taking it off the gun after each session?
No, the scope stays on the gun at all times. Thanks guys for the quick
responses, very grateful.
For all that are interested. I took the gun back to the shop tried a new silencer and same problem happened. So... i decided to buy a theoben evolution and i must say i am very very pleased with it. I am not as accurate with it as the stingray. But i am aware they take some getting used to and can be as accurate as the stingray if not more in experianced hands. Still....love the weight and ease of use.
