    V Mach HW100 Cylinder (Matt)

Just got my new cylinder from Steve Pope, the first one I got was when they were Venom so it has the glossy annodised finish. The latest one has a Matt finish and tbh I was a little worried about how it would look, but, it really looks the dog's and suits the gun really well.
It lacks the grippy bit whatever you call it at the end though, not that you need it really as its a permanent addition to the gun. To my surprise (and more importantly, Steve's ) its about 10mm shorter and as such clears the Silencer by a pleasingly comfortable amount (with supplied spacer), I have to say the original was a little close for comfort, but as I have have a MFC on it, its no longer a worry.

The price has crept up a bit to £145 + P&P of £5.95 but as with the first one, well worth the money for the weight loss and ease of fill.

Bigger gap between cylinder and silencer

    Overall look

    Cheers

Hmmm, that looks *exactly* like the cylinder on my Cyclone - Ben? Nice though . Mark, what does the text at the breech end say?

Thats what I was told, its easier and cheaper to do it this way, makes sense to me.

No Blocker, no website, no landline, just a moby at the moment. 07850 296360 or email: vmach@blueyonder.co.uk for anyone interested.

    New cylinder

Maybe it's me, but that cylinder looks thinner than the gloss one (aswell as shorter)

Also it fills from the side not underneath, must be from a different source...

Still worth the money, transforms a great gun to a fantastic gun, not just on ease of filling, but weight and more importantly balance

I have the original Venom longer (but still fits with the mk2 silencer) gloss cylinder and get 8 mags (112 shots) @ 11.5ft/lbs

FYI here are the differing cylinder dimensions, nothing in it really:

    Venom Cylinder (Shiny)
Usable Cylinder length (not including end fittings) - 430mm
    Cylinder Diameter - 32.5mm

    V Mach Cylinder (Matt)
Usable Cylinder length (not including end fittings) - 420mm
Cylinder Diameter - 33mm Probably due to matt finish being thicker.

I have tested the V Mach cylinder today and it shoots 100 shots with fps ranging from 778 to 785fps on my newer HW100
I get 100 shots from the Venom cylinder on my first HW100 and thats running at 785 to 790. Both had around 110 bar left at this bit I stopped there as thats more than enough shots than I am ever going to use in one sitting. I use JSB 451's in both.

The glossy cylinder looks exactly (to me) the same as the cylinder on a Logun Domin8or (which fills to 200 bar too) and if the new one looks the one on the BTAS Cyclone I would imagine that they've both been sourced from FX. Anyone care to confirm that?
