New to the BBS, newly returned to airgunning

    Hello everyone

I just signed up last week. I've been airgunning since the mid 80s, but recently had a few years off. No particular reason, just drifted away.

I was one of the original members at Guiseley FTC in the early 90s. Found they were still going so I went back the last two Sundays to see if the old girl (my HW77) still had "it". Well she hadn't lost more than a few mil of zero in 7 years of semi retirement and not a speck of rust on the metalwork. Rifle's not rusty but the shooter is a little. Glad to see I'd not lost it completely though and didn't embarrass myself in the comp.

The airgun bug has bitten again. Once you've felt its fangs there's never a permanent cure!

There's no cure as such, but there is what the medical profession call an 'ameliorative' - in my case this means ensuring that there is a constant supply of new/secondhand airguns joining my collection!

Nice to hear that Guiseley has a new member! The other three will be over the moon.

Hehehe.... .....Welcome Adam, hope to see you around the NEFTA circuit soon.

Chris....looks as the 3.50 a tin for JSB's is viable.....do me a favour and circulate the info within the lads at your club, then i'll have an idea of the interest.

    Cheers, Chris.

I won't. I'll just end up bickering with Ken. Pretty much the same thing though!

    Ello mate.

Did the same thing me self last year!!!!....You mad fool!!!

    Goodbye any spare cash whatsoever!!

I bought a second hand HW77 (still going string elsewhere now) and got bitten...again

I now have 2 new rifles (410k and TX200) and old one hwich I have renovated and shoot for fun (my very first air rifle, a Relum 225, great fun it is too, even if it does feel like a toy...OK, I was only 12 ).

And 3 pistols....with a to do list a mile long (basically gat a LRF for sniping and a Umarex S&W 6"...it just goes on!!)

You will know when you are really bitten. The wife comes out with questions like "have'nt you got enough?" (which I wont dignify with an answer) or, "when will it end?"!!!

It was partly her idea too....bless

You cannot beat the BBS for polite (?) banter, good honest reviews (unless it involves calibres...then give up the will to live ) and genuine help
