NEFTA Hunter round 3 :: Pontefract ARC :: 11th June

This is an open event, just turn up, book in and have fun. No need to be a member of NEFTA or the BFTA and no need to Pre-Book.

There are two sessions - first one starts at 9am, 2nd at about 11:30am.

It's a full 30 peg, 30 target HFT course shot to the same rules and guidelines as the national UKAHFT events with a couple of minor tweaks - you can read the rules on the NEFTA Hunter website ( www.neftahunter.co.uk ). I bet you'll be hard pressed to spot the 'tweaks'.

There are no winners as such, so no shoot-offs to wait around for etc, no trophies, and no presentation ceremony at the end.

We do run an award scheme though - Gold, Silver and Bronze merit badges for those that reach the required standards.

The price is just £3.50 for adults and £2.00 for Juniors (under the age of 15).

Spectators are welcome at this event, the lads at Ponte have roped off a spectators area, so if you're not quite ready to shoot in a competition why not pop in and see what it's all about.

    Hope to see you there
    Brian

Yep. Come and sample the infamous Ponty "Bowl of Despair"

PARC also boasts some of the best facilities in the region - and Dave the Burger Man will be on site from stupid o'clock serving up his superb breakfasts!

Oh... and there'll be some shooting as well

If you've not tried it yet, here's another opportunity.

Bri told us that we may have some Southern shooters coming to give Ponty a try - last time that happened we had to get them some counseling and they took months to recover.

So we have moved the firing line down into the "Bowl of Despair" to try and give everyone some clue what the wind is doing (Last Winter I actually saw snow go upwards in the bowl )

Its worth going for the breakfast in a box - just hope I can get down prone after a couple of them

    Dave.

Lo there do I see my father. Lo there do I see my mother, and my sisters and my brothers. Lo do I see the line of my people back to its beginning. Lo they do call to me and bid me take my place among them, in the Halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.

Are you popping along to this one Nev? - it'd be nice to see some Tawd Vale lads venturing across - don't think it clashes with a TV event this time.

Ponte is an excellent venue, I'm really looking forward to this one myself.

Bump for the morning crew. Get yourself along if you are able too. You won't regret it.

I thought thats why you used the prone mat, so you could get dragged from peg to peg
