    Broken Fenman

    Hi guys,

Just got off the phone with my brother in-law and he's broken his Fenman. I haven't seen it but he says the barrel still breaks ok, but it won't cock. Have you guys got any ideas what he should look at first?

    Cheers

    Martin

If you want a gun broken the easiest way is to lend it to somebody!!!

It's possible the "button" has sheared, has he cocked it out of the stock?

Just a thought, he hasn't been adjusting the trigger has he? too light and the sears won't engage.

Provided he's not daft enough for Arm Bands suggestion to be correct then I'd go with Y GWIR for the likely explanation.

    to be honest

the normal things have already been said

1, tried to cock the rifle with out stock
2, adjusted trigger too light sears don't engage
3, Ben will have a look and tell you exactly what's wrong and repair and service it to

Used to have a evolution from new found out only pushing 9 ft lbs after having it 2 day's So back to shop who sent it to theoben and they said rifle had been tampered with. But it hadn't so would only deal with ben now.
Going to save up and get a fenman someday soon

For years there used to be a big yellow sticker inside stock warning not to try cocking out of stock (as the cocking link needs to run along the stock inlet to work) but still they arrived at Theobens by the hundred with broken cocking shoe, I have seen Ben say to them "You have tried cocking it out of the stock havent you?" "nope" came the reply, "Admit it and I will do it for nothing " Ben used to say, still they wouldnt so got charged for it

Point being it would be impossible to break that part without trying it out of the stock

Not saying thats the problem here as it could be a couple of things, tinkering is probable cause though
