Dont be afraid of the "wife",just tell her to relax be quiet and that this is a "mans" thing ok.If she still moanes then dont eat the dinner she makes, get a take-away or make a few sarni'es,also deprive her of your duties as a husband, that'll soon change her way of thinking.

I get something similar and we don't have children well we have but live in their own houses that I'm expected to maintain, well one of them anyway

"So your going shooting Friday Saturday AND Sunday are you?" she said

"No Just Sunday" say's I "one hour zero gun at my mates on Friday then Travelling Saturday and shooting On Sunday"

"The locks might be changed when you get back" she replies

"Well you can pay the bloody Mortgage then!" I retort

"oh, alright then you can go" is the answer back

Don't you just love 'em Done are the days of backing down, I'm enjoying shooting as long as I'm physically able and can afford it because once on a pension that's it.......backyard plinking and a very local club.

    Take care, Voldy
£60! Splashing out a bit much there Voldy! I usually get mine for £50 or less!

Nice to see you back Mafoota.

i had thought of this, but the potential for a morning of "i'm bored!! i'm COLD!!! can i have the car keys? when will you be finished? are you finished yet? why havent finished yet? i cant believe you havent finished yet!" might push me over the edge and i'll find myself whipping her seatbelt off on the way home and pushing her out of a moving car.

even worse, if she did have a go, she might be better than me!!!!
    Cheers
