    BSA super sport

Ok, I haven`t had a chance to have a proper look at this yet, but.....
My brother has a supersport he is trying to fit a barrel mounted swivel (I think) to attach a sling to. In order to do this he needs to remove what he reckons is the front open sight - lump - thing....... is it glued on.... how does he get it off?

It is the carbine model, if it helps anyone help me/my brother..... the lump that is described as carbine only in this link....

    Thanks for any advice
    regards

Unless they have changed things, the fore sight is held on with a single slotted screw that goes vertically behind the fore sight bead.

If it's the carbine model with the alloy end piece that you can screw a BSA silencer in the end, if thats the one then the one I had on my old Airsporter was held on with a grub screw through the alloy casing and also it had a hole drilled through as well which an allan headed bolt screwed into the bottom of the barrel and the head of the bolt sunk into the hole which stopped the unit from revolving on the barrel, if I remember correctly all you need to do is remove the bolt and the grub screw and it should just slide off the barrel.

Thanks for the replies, It is the carbine.
I`ll have a look at it later in the week or at the weekend..... I`ll be sure to take the mole grips with me....... should I take a lump hammer?
    Thanks again.
