I have only really used Logun Penetrators, but I'm starting to wonder if they're a little to heavy for longer range (40~50yd) hunting? I would like to give other pellets a try, but I'm not sure what's best for the S200!?

.177 or .22?
My .177 shot Air Arms fields and H&N's like a dream
This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine.. Logun Axsor Carbine .177 Weaver V24 6-24x42
Sorry, forgot to say, .177
I found the AA fields tended to easily bend their skirts on my .22 rifles, are they fairly solid in .177?
Stu
i have tried loads of different pellets in mine (177) it seems to behave with most exept for gamo match its even prety good with marksman but i wouldnt hunt with them
i use air arms diablo field in my s200. work great![]()
Ditto, But try the different head sizes to see which suit your particular barrel.Originally Posted by bulzi

How many head sizes in .177?
4.51, 4.52, 4.53
Try a tin of each - They are also the same pellet as Daystate & JSB Exacts![]()
I use 4.51 as the shoot well in both my rifles. (And I'm too Cr*p a shot for it to make much difference anyway![]()

Yep agreed.i use air arms diablo field in my s200. work great
AKA: ultimate atomic indestructable sniping ninja terminator of oblivion/certain death blah blah blah etc...
Best way is to try several types/makes of pellet, cheapest way to do that is to try Pellpax, 38 types for £13.99![]()
(\__/) AA S410 Classic, Walnut, Thumbhole.
(='.'=) Baikal 12 bore, S/S.

JSB .177 4.52's worked in mine.
Go for good ammo and see which is best in your barrel.
Pellpax dont offer a package of the top contenders - there are some very indifferent pellets included in the sample IMHO.
I use Air Arms field 4.52 probly because i dont go hunting and i dont need penetration on steel knockdown targets at the local club.
.22 AA Fields without question but it's not that fussy a rifle so have a play and see what you prefer![]()
JSB Exact 4.52
I believe it's what CZ use to test the barrels anyway!
