Yes, this is the serial number. There should also be a (matching) number under the loading tap/cocking lever pivot area.

I have decided to sell my Webly Mk. 111 .22 rifle and have taken the stock off to find a serial mumber and I cant find one
The only number on the gun is on the under leaver A8593 is this the serial number ?
i would have expected to see one on the gun
The gun is from the late 1960-70

just spent 10 minutes admiring your collection saves on wall paper if these are all over the wall on racks
I only have the webly and treated myself to a XS78 with a 88g co2 tank but find at £7 a go too expensive to do a lot of plinking to get used to it .
Would be ok for hunting ,shooting only a few at a time after a lot of practise
