How did you take the inards out is what i would like to know, mine dont come out
i was cleaning my barrel and decided to look at the internals of the vortex on my fac rapid. i took the plastic (what can be described as) baffel arrangement out and screwed the vortex cap back on the gun. i fired the gun and to my amazement there was very little to no difference in noise reduction, even downrange!
My question is can anyone recommend a decend sound moderator for the fac rapid that actually works as the vortex simply is not effective?
P.S. im running at 30ft/lb.

I found the same thing! Now got the Logun which is much quieter and even quieter still if you loctite it on, don’t ask me why!!! but it is!!!
â™ Andyman got the internals out by unscrewing the end cap and firing it UNLOADED, on to a soft cloth, worked for me
Another vote for the logun.
Loctite will seal it on the bore, so air won't come back towards the shooter - doubt it would make any difference downrange though
i have hear the logun twangs at fac levels, any ideas?

ripley or abs could also work. don't loose the o-ring on the muzzle end of the plastic insert for the evo.
