am I right in thinking it should be 50 feet?
My local news papers front page story is "Kill da wabbit..." which details how the local allotment is having problems with a large rabbit population. I snapped up a copy thinking oh good some interesting news for once....
Basically the council have given the ok for the rabbits to be "culled" using a .22 air rifle.
The council contact the police to see if there were any safety issues....
The response from the police was as follows:
" the police were happy for the cull to go ahead, provided that:
o the council had granted its permission;
o no guns would be discharged within 50 yards of a road; and
o the police were notified of the times when shooting would take place."
Now I wonder if its a missprint on the newspapers behalf, or if the actual police gave the wrong information!
Steve.

Prollaby a misprint, but it is amazing how many ordinary plodsters know kack all about airgun law..or any other gun law.
Yep it should be 50 feet. I'm not sure which is more worrying the fact that they got the distance wrong, or the fact they don't even mention anything about making sure pellets stay within the boundary of the property!
THE po lice can make there own rules up if on council land
