    Question FT scope advice

Hi there, I have around £100-£150 to spend on a scope to be fitted to a AA TX200 Mark III, (already have the mounts). I only intend to shoot targets and have very little knowledge about scopes.

    Many thanks for any advice,

    Dale

Do you really mean FT or are you using FT as a general description of casual target shooting. If you do mean FT you are severely limited with your budget. Best bet is the large mag sidewheelers from JSR or a ZOS from e b a y (same scope - different reticles). Yourmounts will probably be for a 1 inch tube and these are 30mm so you'll need new ones.

If it's for FT then I would think you will struggle to find something better than this for your price range.

The Zos/ JSR sidewheel is a reasonable scope but will need to be re-parallaxed to airgun ranges. This is an easy task for someone familiar with airgun csopes. A good alternative would be a Tasco Custom Shop 8-40x56 sidewheel which start around £200 second hand. This will range find from 10 yards to 55+.
If you really can't stretch your budget a second hand Simmons Mag 44 6.5-20x44 will range find reasonably out to 45 yards and has reasonable resolution.

    Follow the link above Ken!

The custom shop will be ideal for FT and a better bet than a new Zos/Rex
