There's enough adjustment on the Combro to fit virtually any silencer - it will definitely work on the Lightning

I have despatched 1 rabbit at 75 yds in .22 and one rabbit at 60+ yards in .177, don't always do that, the conditions have to be perfect and you have the confidence in your kit to do the job.[/quote]

Geez, and i get cranked for taking game out to 20 and sometimes even to 30 yrds with an hw45.

Don't forget those shots are one offs, conditions have to be right and your holdover spot on otherwise don't take the shot if you are not sure, try and get closer.

I dispute the 3fpe to kill a rabbit it is about 1 1/2 fpe, bit like a sharp hammer tap to the skull. And it doesn't have to be 12fpe as I proved with taking a rabbit out at around 40yds when I did the review on the Harrier X, it was only kicking out about 11fpe at the time and the rabbit went over without a twitch.

However I wouldn't suggest ranges such as this for normal hunting a lot of my kills are under 25yds, get proficient at the easy ranges before you tackle the long range.

My 30 yrd shots are the 'one offs' your talking about. They are far and few between and when conditions are right as you said. No argument there.

Ya know, i really like the phrase 'only when conditions are right'. Sure leaves lotsa room for discretion......i like that. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

IMO it's got to be a head shot, for me that's 30yrd max. I set up the sights in he garden a 2p peice is about right. Put ten out of ten in that and bunnies will fall over. If you hit them in the body it's a slow and painful.
