Probably the price
I've just purchased a tin of Air Arms Field in .22.
When looking on the bottom of the tin it has the little sticker but instead of 5.51 or 5.52 it says 5.50. Is this correct as i've never heard of that size? If it is correct would they be ok for my TX. I usually use 5.51's
Cheers

usually the sticker on the bottom of the tin denotes the size. Well it has on all the other tins i've used. It was actually cheaper than £5.50 so bonus. The only thing is i'm now a bit dubious about using them as they were cheaper and the sticker seems to be wrong.

5,50 IS ,22 They sell 5,51/2 to give you a choice ENGLISH air guns of the 60s/ 70s are 5,6 =,22
Nothing to worry about mate, 5.50 is a genuine size with this ammo. I have a Webley Eclipse and Airarms 5.50 is what it runs best on.

Cool that puts my mind at rest. The £2.59 price tag will hopefully be worth it then!!Originally Posted by MICHAEL H

ive never seen 5.50 AA's for sale or available anywhere only 5.51 and 5.52 ......so its news to me......is this a new size they are offering

Neither had i. That's why i was concerned about using them. Surely if there is a difference between 5.51 and 5.52 then there will be a difference between 5.51 and 5.50. Might try one in this afternoon to compare.Originally Posted by merlin

off the top of my head the price for aa .22 pellets are £5.95 in mays.
The difference is less than .001" 5.50mm = .22 cal. or .220"
I Think ?
