$$$$$Best value products Stateside$$$$$

I have a mate who is currently in the USofA.He will be visiting a few gun shops whilst there and popping off a few rounds on the ranges. What i would like to know is what are the best value products available in the states that he could pick up for me during his visit.
I have a wish list of items that i would like but can only work to a modest budget so what could he get that is much cheaper there than here ?
TIA

In a word, "optics".....scopes, rangefinders. Take a look on the US at all the stuff our friends across the pond are not prepared to export; the prices will make you weep!

I was over there last month and noticed the Realtree lightweight mesh suits (trousers, jacket and face veil) are only $48 over there thats about £32 in our money - a savin of £20....BARGAIN!!

I think the Leatherman tools were alot cheaper too, cant remember the price of those though

One of the problems involved in doing that is the cost of shipping. I can send a gun over 3000 miles from the east coast to the west coast for under $18..insured, but that same gun would cost me near $75 to send it across the pond. RB

Another good saving is foot ware. I got 2 pairs of gortex thinsulate realtree boots for under £50 in Florida this year.
Bit bulky for putin in the suitcase though, I had to fill mine with other realtree clothing.

Don't forget you can also pick up Ralph Lauren shirts for a quarter of the UK price (if you head for the Outlet Centres)

And Bass shoes and Timberland and Schott and on and on. Harley parts too.

Buy a cheap holdall (in the States) and the savings will pay for the holiday. And have you looking a smart label victim into the bargain.

Scopes. Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40 AO is approx $190 inc tax at Bass Pro. converts to £120

UK price is approx £250.

A couple of friends and I are setting up a web based firearm import/export agency to solve such problems as this.

We will be able to import guns, parts, scopes etc freely and export the same to anywhere in the world (more collectors at the other end)

Clearly we would not advertise on here but does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this venture?

We have just today had the nod for the RFD and the DTI are being very helpful for now.
