Identify this airm arms side lever

It's in .177 with approx 10" barrel and muzzle weight. Nicely chequered wood stock and gold coloured trigger, trigger guard and stock screw surround. it was in good condition with a couple of surface rust spots on the barrel.

Which one is it? How much is it worth? Anyone know where I can get one?

I think the one with the short barrel was the "Bora", value, haven't a clue. You can't get one, they're not made anymore.

    Thumbs up

The Bora was the short barrelled model in the "windy" AA's line up? The Mistral was similar but had about another 4" of barrel.

Have a look in this link. HTH

Thanks for that. It looks like it's either a bora or EX88. The stock threw me as it looks lighter than beech, but it may just need oiling.

/could this perhaps be the mystery stock? From the link posted above:

It appears that the EX88 was originally designed for the Scandinavian market where it was supplied with a maple stock. UK variants had beech stocks.

edit: and obviously if it is beech, it wouldn't have been oil finished originally ... that not saying some Philistine ain't re-done it of course ... if its the 'export' maple stock, I guess that would likely be originally oil finished. But I don't know

I have a maple topped guitar and I dont think it's that. The jackals lair describes the later mistral stock as oiled beech so it could be that. This one has the original air arms supplied "shrike" scope on it which although poo, would suggest its been unmolested over the last 20+ years.

I know the way this is going, I'm gonna have to buy it.

I have a Bora with the original finish - the stock is very pale, almost as pale as the airsporter stocks were for a while........

Ooo, pale beech stocks are lovely (although I never heard of oiled beech as a factory finish before).

Sounds like the kind of gun that even a tight Cornisman would buy

I saw it, picked it up, dribbled on it and fired a few shots. I've owned several air arms side levers and I had the jackal lair and copies of original marketing literature to use for reference.

    Still I'm scratching my head!

I think it's a case of sending the serial number to AA for I'd. I remember it was 33 prefix.

I had two between approx '88 - 90' The first had a very pale stock, the second much darker, both were lacquered beech.
