Both will do the job. Although related, they are at different ends of the spectrum regarding size, weight and shot count.
An compromise would be the scoprion, lighter than the hornet but more (many more) shots than the ultra.

Yup. Hornet all the way. It`ll give you a full 100+ full power shots on a single charge (.22) a few less in .177. Assuming you go for the K model. And because the reservoir is smallish (75cl) it`s not a major job to fill with a pump. I`ve not found the weight of the heavier Hornet a problem, probably because i`m used to a Lightning. The Ultra seems a bit lightweight to me. In the nicest posible way. It`s a very capable rifle. And the cocking/loading mechanism is superb on both.

Surely the decision should be based on what shooting you will be doing.
If you have a bottle set up, and you want to do some hunting, but don't expect to need 100 shots (unlikely in a hunting scenario) then why not get the Ultra....you arms and back may thank you for it.
If you don't have easy access to a bottle, and are going to fill it up at a shop....then the Hornet makes more sense.

Both seem to be good rifles....but are better for different reasons.

    Just my thoughts
