Is it me or do their customer relations suck?

I wont say too much at the moment but having sufferd a forgoten about order and then being expected to pay the postage for the part of the order they have in stock, which has still not arived after being sent on monday, to say the least Im starting to wonder if its worth useing them at all.

My experience with them is 50/50, I've had some excellent service and some crap service. Seems to depend on who you speak to.

Its all down to quality of staffing and who you get on the end of the 'phone, same with all mail order. Try ringing and asking for the gaffer, then complaining, it usually works. It does when one of my customers gives me the whinge, which is usually down to a member of staff not treating a customer in a professional manner. Used to "putting out fires"? I made a career of it.

I have only bought one thing off them and it came the other day,I ordered a gun case last Thursday and got it Tuesday afternoon, which isn,t bad really and the guy on the phone was friendly and helpful enough.

I have dealt with them in the past. the pistol I got from them had a slightly damaged box but apart from that service was friendly and quick and most important the pistol was in excellent condition and cheaper than anywhere else. You won't hear me complaining.

In the past when I have used them, they have been good. But this time its geting to be a joke.
One part I was told would be ten days in ariving at the shop thats why I chased up last week, now Im told middle of august.
Then when I asked them to send what they had and I would wait for the other bit, they promised it would be sent monday, still no sign of it and they were going to chase it up and get back to me yesterday, still no return call with the out come.

As for what I have on order stumpy wingnut, you will soon see down the club m8

Im not saying on here because the grief from Nev would be unbearable.

Yesterday I tried ordering 12 items which are always in their ad in GM, they actually had three items in stock No idea when the other stuff would be available

All items were Firearm so none of the usual AG dealers will be able to help, ho hum

Found out there is a new guy working there today, seems that said item was not sent monday, funny that, means they saved some money on chasing the parcel.

Im not sure but I think the way things are going, my phone bill will be more than what I save soon.

Baz was you given the middle of august line? they tried 10 days as the first excuse, about 4 weeks ago, now I have been told the American cosignment is due in on friday next week.

This thread isnt what I wanted to see!

I ordered a HW45 pistol for a mate and got a HW75 for my trouble. Great I thought a saving of £35 on the order price and a better pistol into the bargain

Unfortunately its only about half the power of the HW45 so I'm on the phone to the guy who I dealt with and back it goes special delivery at my expense (£6.55 plus packing).

I then emailed the shop with the tracking number and the cost of the postage which the guy said he'd sort out for me. I asked for an urgent reply as I'm off on holiday tues for 14 days and would supply a different delivery address if it was going to take more than a couple of days to deliver. Credit where its due the original order was with me in 2 days.

Looks like I'm going to have to chase the shop on Sat and probably gary himself on Monday

They must do a LOT of mail order, they have about 5 -8 pages in Gun Mart,if they didnt sell a lot mail order they would not have taken such an avertising chunk in GM

Never ordered so no comment from me,but did phone once, and was not too helpfull on the phone

so voted with my wallet and went to BAR

TWO YEARS AGO I ordered a spare mag for a BRNO rifle.
"Should be with you in a bout ten days when our order comes in."
I think they should chase their suppliers, 'cos it still hasn't arrived....

I do not have any experience of buying airguns from them, but I did buy a secondhand Marlin 7000T rimfire from them following initial enquiries regarding purchase of a new rifle of the same model. As anyone who knows me will tell you, I am fussy about the cosmetic appearance of anything I buy to keep. The shop in question couldn't supply a new gun, but had a secondhand gun that appeared to suit my requirements following enquiries about its physical condition. I agreed to purchase the gun, based on their description of it, and made arrangements to have it delivered to a Gunshop local to where I worked. At the same time I attempted to contact the original owner who was well known in the airgun line, in order to find the history of the gun. To cut a long story short, I didn't speak to him until after the gun arrived and was written onto my FAC. I was very dissapointed with the gun on arrival, the stock had been broken in two and repaired by Araldite and screw fixing, and part of the scope rail (integral with receiver, had been broken away). The original owner described the gun accurately when I eventually spoke to him, but that was after it had arrived. To add insult to injury, the Leupold Turret adjusters that I had ordered at the same time didn't materialise for a few more weeks until I contacted them more than once trying to get the remainder of my order. Yes, I know that I could have sent it back, but it had already used up the slot on my FAC, and I felt shafted. I sold the gun on again as it was not the sort of thing that I want to keep and use, and lost nearly £150 in a few weeks (being lucky to sell it anyway). I then had to apply for a new variation in order to buy another 0.22 RF. IMHO if you go in to that particular shop and see something that you like, buy it. Otherwise, if a mail order deal, ask lots of questions and let them know that you will return the purchase if not as described. If a particular friend of mine is back in the UK, I can possibly supply another anecdotal story of a similar nature.

I offer the above as being my own opinion in good faith, and state further that I will be very reluctant to order anything from them ever again.

Vic Thompson.
