noob qu i no, but co2 vs springer?

im thinking of buying ratcatcher or rabbitstoper, but first of all what advantage will the co2 have over a springer?
if ther is one that is,
and can any1 sudjest an equivelent springer for the round about price of the above
    cheers

No advantage at all that I can see. If you get keen on shooting and join a club you may find that the cost of CO2 becomes an issue.

A quality used springer will give years of service and always be ready to use. You'll be able to pick the brains of members on how to improve it if necessary.

Have you considered looking on the JSR website, the Gamo range are excellent value for money, I have a CFX and a shooting buddy of mine regularly uses a Realtree hunter. Nice guns but the triggers are a little creepy.

Best of luck in your search.

cheers for all the feedback guys
sorry about the language use etc.
i think i will try to pick up a second hand bsa when i get the money
    upgrading from my B2
my cousin has a rabbitstopper styled co2 and we went through four co2 cartiges in about 30 minuits which is about £2 worth.
so i agree the co2 will become pricey
    cheers

Yeah, if you can't afford the high start-up costs of a PCP, a springer definately sounds like the way forward. The only advantage of CO2 is the 'fire-as-fast-as you-can-pull-the-trigger" thing. Having said that, if you buy a decent springer + scope, you'll only ever need 1 shot...
