yep, doesn't touch the barrel - one mine it just fits forward of the front scope mount on the action block.

How does that work then BB ? Do you have any pictures ? And what is a Cheater sling when it is at home ? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin:-->

I'm still trying to work out how I can sling my Rapid MkII without having to drill into the stock, without putting any strain on the buddy bottle and without any strain on the barrel.

Had this rifle for 4 weeks now and still have to carry it everywhere.

I did think that the butt end could be fixed under the butt pad but trying to sort out the front connection is taxing me.

Mind you give me a few months and I'll no longer care as much and just drill holes <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

for cheater sling read rubber strap worth about 50p and a superflauge cover on it, sewn up in a sweatshop for about 20p. you loop the ends and put them over the stock or butt of the rifle then stretch the rubber strap over your shoulder.
the idea being that when you shoot, you strech the strap and its pulled back into your shoulder.
speaking from experience, i wasted £24.95 on this cr4p idea. if you have the strength to stretch the strap (which at 5'8" and 16 stone, hgv mechanic, i cant) you get tangled up in the thing and the cammo slip goes where it wants because it doesnt stretch at all.
the cheater sling is a solution to a problem that doesnt work.
save your money. get a lighter rifle, anything but one of these. i.m.h.o of course mr censor.

Whilst I agree with the likely cost of production, and indeed the lack of "stretchiness", the way I use it it is excellent.

Just sling the rifle, over your shoulder, hanging "at the ready" at you hip (steadied by you right hand).

Should a shot present itself, the rifle can be bough to aim in a fraction of a second - forget stretching anything <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

Doesn't work ? I guess I'd better sell mine. In light of your advice I'm sure Sammie and Buddy will too. Airgunner will probably let his go after your reasoned explanation.

Or could it be at 5'8" and 16st, but unable to use a sling that Sammie (5'3 and 8st) can you need to cut down the Pork line and Build up the coordination ?

    just a thought...

    don't knock it mate
If you'd felt jon's wallet you'd understand the need for a heavy strap..
(Much of the weight it the lock on it mind..;-))
