no reason why it shouldn't.... the charging gear is the same.
Ok guys time to pick your brains, does anyone know if a theoben 280cc buddy bottle will accept a bsa s10 valve so to get the little extra shot capacity, i have a s10 carbine so the 400 cc bottle is out of the question.
any help apreciated. Tony

by valve - do you mean the piece at the top of the bottle?
Hi and yes the valve in the top of the bottle, will a s10 bottle valve fit into a theoben 280 cc??Originally Posted by jax13

i wouldn't risk i t personally - why not just use a 280cc theoben bottle?
Hmmm am i missing something here, i have a s10 mk3 carbine, are you saying a 280cc theoben bottle will fit straight away?Originally Posted by jax13

i was under the impression theoben did a 280cc bottle, surely its gonna fit?
if not why not ask someone to machine a small extension piece to lengthen the barrel / silencer arrangement by half an inch or so?
Yes they do make 280cc bottles but are the valves the same and will it fit straight onto s10?Originally Posted by jax13

only one way to find out!!! borrow a rapid bottle, compare to the s10 bottle, if it matches try it.
(still don't understand why you don't just buy a rapid though )
Because i have a s10 carbine and would like to have the extra shot capacity, bsa dont make any other bottles other than 400cc which is too large for a s10 carbine, so was wondering if i could ues a 280 cc theoben bottle on my s10 carbine either straight fit or poss bottle valve change????Originally Posted by jax13

theres no reason why a valve change won't work, i'd just send it off to a pro to get it done - 200bar and a home brewed conversion sounds like too much of a risk to me personally.
I still don't understand why you will you get more shots from a theoben bottle with a bsa valve in? or even a theoben valve, surely the gun will use the same volume of air per shot? i stand to be corrected but surely its an economy thing on the rifle rather than the bottle (i'm certain i got 200 shots from my s10 carbine with a 280cc buddy - what are you hunting / shooting at if you need nore than that per session?)
The s10 mk3 carbine comes with a 200cc bottle not a 280cc.Originally Posted by jax13

surley the extra 80 cc will give a little extra shot capacity?

that makes a bit more sense now!!
why not just carry an extra buddy bottle? i used to when i was out on a marathon night!
thinking about it, one bottle was smaller than t'other, but i can't remember what sizes they were. i just always used the bigger one and got about 200 shots, i never emptied the smaller one to see what its useful capacity was.
