This is a Daystate PCP copy.
Prelim is that they actually did a good job copying it.

In the course of my work I've seen my innovations plagiarised, and there is nothing clever about it in my book. People that do that are common criminals and the sale proceeds of the product whose concept they steal should be confiscated.

I do agree with Draftsman, it is kind of Chinese mafia, I`ve seen program in TV about it, they are able to copy almost everything: cigrarrettes, CD, computers, spare parts for cars, perfumes, designer clothes etc, mafioso said to british journalist: send to me latest version of Rolls Royce and give me five months, and I`ll send to you exact copy back.

This has been going on for ages, the company involved first put a picture of an actual huntsman in their (trade) flier and when there was enough interest then bought a real huntsman, adapted it and passed it off as one of there own. It is be made in China by the usual means of cheap labour by people desperate to make any money they can. Not too much can be done until they arrive in a country signed up to copyright laws and then the importer is liable and can be taken to court - which is what we will now do in the USA.

If you want to buy a 3,000 psi charged airgun made of inferior materials by virtually slave labour, with the chance that it may explode one day and kill you, then get your name on the list pronto:- or wait for some idiot here to import them!

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it doesn't do the rightful manufacturer any favours IMO.

Having lived in China for a few years I concur that they are inveterate "copyists" with little respect for patents or intellectual property. However, the G8 nations and multi-national coporations are making use of this ability by locating manufacturing plants here. We're not talking about kids stitching footballs. Some of the most sophisticated electrical components and most refined engineering tasks are being carried out in China by a VERY highly skilled labour pool. That they are less expensive than G8 employees is hardly their fault.
Being a loyal British shooter I would not buy a copy of a Daystate or any other UK brand but I would have complete confidence in buying a local Chinese design, be it operating at 3000psi or 10,000psi. Quality control here is excellent; at least as good as in the "West". I'm not condoning anyone ripping off your hard thought out designs, Tony, but China is a little different in reality to the media portrayal.

what a nob, how to get sand and dirt into your gun= pump it up by hand in a desert.

The gun looks good value to me, a little work, money and adjustment and for £200 its looking good.

If it is a copy I would not buy it.

Daystate deserve to have their patents (where applicable) respected and their R and D repaid through sales of the genuine article. You can buy Rolex copies from Taiwan that are so good that Rolex dealers have to take off the back to determine if they are real. I bought a real one because Rolex deserve the credit (and cash) for inventing a good piece of kit.

Can't help but wonder how much it would be for just the thumbhole stock and if it would fit the harrier?

All I would say is, look at the quality control on the B1, not clever, but its ok, because its only meant as a cheap springer rifle to have fun with and then move on to more serious stuff, but tranfser that sort of quality control to a PCP running at about 3000 psi.........NO THANK YOU VELLY MUCH .......
save a few pounds more...... and maybe your LIFE! and buy the genuine article.
