I've just spent a most enlightening day, putting a selection of 36 pellets makes/breeds types, through my Rapid 12 mk 2, under reasonably clinical conditions.

There were some real surprises amongst them. Some foregone conclusions like Accupels and Daystate scoring/grouping well and others which will never see the inside of my barrel again.

The object of the exercise, as far as I was concerned, was to find the most consistent pellet in my 12 ft/lbs Rapid and decide on a heavyweight for Close qaurter encounters.

I have the full breakdown if anybody is interested, but I won't bore you all with it here and now.

Suffice to say that the best grouped at 4.42mm @ 20 yds and the top ten subbed 6.4mm. The very worst of them grouped at 53mm, but only 5 types scattered in this manner. I assure you it wasn't me. I did check.

A trully enlightening experience and one I would advise anyone to try at least once. Now, where did I leave my anorak????????
