HFT Teams

As we not having many club teams enter on the day at the moment only Quarry & Lea Valley, perhaps we may try something a bit different and doing it a bit like a football season for next year.

We could get lads/lasses to enter a squad min of 5 max of 15 at the start and call themselves a name i.e. "Keyboard Heroes" and they must shoot for that side all season but can join another team the following year if they wish, but once a squad is chosen there can be no adding over the series all names must be in from Round 1. Or we could have say a "transfer window" after Round 5 were you can add 3 shooters to the squad.

We could charge £10 per team per season and this could go towards some advertising etc.

Just adding a bit of fun to the series and i think a lot of lads would like this as not many belong to an actual shooting club.

As I'm looking for a HFT club here in the NW it would appeal to me. Only problem is would I appeal to my potential "team mates?"

Can't the "Real Tree" team coming in for me at transfer window time!!

Great idea hope it takes off.

The way things seem to be going at the moment it looks like us 'foreigners' might be able to field a team (well 4 people) for most shoots.

Can I reserve 'Celtic Cousins' under the CORNISH FLAG (and even include the new DEVON FLAG for some good friends)?! Keith

I noticed that, at Chester, a lot of guys were listed as 'BBS'. Can't they be incorporated as teams, the highest 5 scorers being the 'BBS A' team. Ditto with TPC members.

Yup thats what we mean i.e. a squad of say 10 BBS lads are the "Old Gits" this way we could have around 20 teams taking part at each round.

"Old Gits" sounds about right for the majority of us hehehehehe!

and "Old Drunken Gits" most Friday and Saturday nights at these do's

Seriously, its a good idea even for some that do belong to clubs and don't have/ can't have the commitment from other Club members due to one reason or another, but I think a small few are now interested from the Chester Club as they found it fun, however, not enough for a team.
