    new power.

    hi.
a friend of mine said he seen something on sky tv
abont c02 & pre'charge air rifles. the programs topic was about a new type of charge' energy which
is more efficient, powerful & just as cheap as are normal c02. i.e .... pumps & charging shops prices, availability.
    ANYWAY.
he said they designed a new co2 which was more compressable than ares & when its compressed it terns to water form:vapour, more shots per charge & as cheap. also normal pre'charged rifles can be
    converted.
his he full of s**t or can anyone back him up.
    thanks.

sounds a little bit like the syphon tube type co2 setups used on some old paintball guns, basically when co2 is compressed it turns to liquid (hence it being measured in ounces and not by its pressure, by running a tube to the bottom of a bottle you can get it to draw the liquid up and not the gas which is then expanded in the valve assembly to provide the propulsion gas, as I said this has been around for ages and is of little or no use in a pcp, I did see something about converting a crosman to run on liquid and it does indeed work in a more efficient manner than letting the co2 gas prior to using it, however there were stark warnings about the dangers of trapping liquid co2 in the gun or feed tubes.

    Hi All,

I have read something about this on a website in the US. They are using alternative to Co2, something called PCA or CPA, not 100% sure. I was going to ask a somewhat similar question of what is it?

From the info that i read it seemed that the guns were different too. Does Baz or Sid know anything of this?

    regards

    Bab
