    if i sell what would my "a" series daystate mk3 be worth?

    hi guys, this is just a query as i have not decided 100% yet but what would my mk3 be worth? it has only had about 200 shots put through it as i work perminant nights now so it is not getting the use it deserves. just looking for a ball park figure. this is the gun only!
    thanks

    What cal. mate ?

    No-one wants a 12 FP .22 ( <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> )

    PS don't use royal mail if you do flog it <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    Several issues here:

    1) What condition is the wood/metal work in

    2) Can you convince someone you have a good reason to sell it

    3) It will have to be significantly less than the cost of a MKIII model b otherwise what would be the point.

    Assuming the answers to 1 & 2 are positive then I would think that the value would be between 500 and 600 quid.

    Thinking about it, usually 60% of new is a good yardstick for most guns

    russ. read the 1st post, iam thinking of selling as i do not get the chance to use it these days due to nightshift being perminant. and at the price i payed for it it is a shame to just leave it sitting in the gun cabinate going to waste. condition is 100% as i really look after my kit. there is not a mark on it anywhere.

    lighter than a logun sweet16 and much easier to point and shoot. infact it is not much heavier than a rapid. mind you it takes a man to shoot the quality airguns as the wimps can't hack it <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    This is going to hurt.
    Like many others, I own an a version. But if you look at jsr's advert you will see what price he is selling them at the moment. It dosent do those who payed full price of £800+ any favours.

    I spoke to Tony B at a recent hunter FT and as far as he was concerned, bringing out the b model would not devalue the a's. IMO the a version does have a better stock and a few other finer qualities the b version does not. Owning both models, my preferd version is the a.

    Good luck if you decide to sell.

    Put an A stock on a B action?

    500 is close enough to 60% for my money and since it is so new then a bit over that ahould be OK.

    If you are thinking of trading it ask for 450 and they can punt it out at 550 and make a quick ton.

    Private sale start at 550 and take 500 or so.

    I am on the waiting list for a MKIII with AofA but have bought myself a Pro Sport to play with in the meantime.

    I had the same conversation with someone from Daystate when I was asking if it was possible to upgrade the original MkIII to a 'b' model. I was told that it's not possible. When I expressed concern that it would devalue the 'a' model I was told that it won't.

    Yeah, right <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_frown.gif" alt="Frown" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
