At my school about 7 years ago there were some lads that were caught having a BB battle. They got detentions and their parents were brought in for a talking to from the head of year... a better way of handling it than calling the police. Theyre toys FFS especially the cheap crappy spring ones that put out about 0.5J, granted they have no place in school but the police shouldnt have been involved IMO.
yeh this is the story where the reporter for local TV news kept referring to it as an "air weapon"
