just a bit curious really, not thinking of getting one or anything, but what is the trajectory like? is it flatter than sub 12ft/lbs? and which caliber is prefered (FAC ONLY!!! not starting that 'ol chestnut again!!!)? and what sort of distance can you effectivley use it for hunting?
Cheers
Oggy

I have a rapid mk11 .20 it is capable of around 37ft/Ibs but I now run it slighty below. obviously the trajectory is far flatter than a sub 12ft/Ibs rifle. The effective range is a question you will never get a diffinitive answer to, everyone makes different claims. My rifle has on numerous occasions taken head shots on rabbits at 80yds off a bipod and will still hit bottles all day long at 100yds but couldn't be used as a hunting tool at those ranges. even with high powered air rifles the wind plays a very significant part and if the wind picks up I wouldn't normally take a shot over 60yds, too windy and I don't use it at all. As for calibre choice, that's a personal issue. Most favour .22 but I prefer the .20 for the flatter trajectory and with that choice comes the limited supply of decent pellets. In hindsight I wish I had bought a .22 for that reason, I couldn't get any pellets that worked from the rifle. Although now I have plenty of Premiers to keep me going for a few years so am happy with my decision on the .20
