I posted 6 copies of this letter off yesterday evening. Just local farms for now so I will see if I get any replies. If not, I shall have to widen my search!

    Thanks for the template Jackel.

I posted this on another section, but I will say it again here,

Thanks Carl (Jackel). Your shooting permission letter secured me a shoot a few weeks ago.

I actually emailed a copy to the estate manager The wonders of modern technology eh!

Thanks, this will be very useful ... but does anyone know how I could find out who owns what land without spending a fortune (some internet sites will tell you who owns a field for something in the range of £50!!)

land registry at the town hall

But a quicker way is to go drinking in a pub where farmers go and buy them a pint,,,you'll find out all sorts

    Permission to shoot Sir?!!??

Greetings to you all, my name is Sean and i've been shooting since the age of 13 which was over 30 years ago !! I got into air rifles back in 02 when i borrowed a mates TX200 for a rat problem at home and i was hooked!!:
Right that's the intro taken care of,
If you're passing the fields and farmers are working why not stop and have a chat you'd be surprised what can materialise from a conversation, all my land here came about as i spoke directly to a, the landowner as he walked his dog and b, a bloke pulled into the field taking notes and making calls from his 4x4, he turned out to be the farmer and he gave permission and 4 fields there and then So when i'm not out shooting the land i'm walking the dog and doing a recce
