Filling the AA S200 queries
Hi Guys
The AA S200 arrived to day from Uttings, good service, only ordered yesterday, although the left hand AA S400K is going to take a little longer.
A couple of queries on the filling. The guy at the gun shop where I bought the bottle said that the hose only needed to be hand tight (the last connection to the bottle) and this looked knurled like he was right but no matter how hard I tightened it all the air just escaped out of the joint.
I eventually used an adjustable spanner to tighten the nut to spanner tight and it now holds air and fills the gun, but is this normal, and will it do any damage being tightened so hard? There is a small round rubber seal in there.
The other was when I first tried to fill the gun from complete empty (after I sorted the other issue) the air just came straight out of the muzzle, but then I had a thought to pull the cocking bolt back and then it worked. Again is this normal, there is nothing in the instruction booklet about this.
cheers
Ray

I had the same experience and cocking it when empty is the correct solution to get it to fill although the S200 manual doesn't tell you this. (The S400 is the same but the manual DOES tell you!)
If the pressure falls below 50-60BAR all the remaining air will discharge through the barrel and this too is normal.
