You are quite correct, simple innit ?. They kept it simple for the welsh market <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
Ona single Shot Falcon, do you just pull the bolt back, place pellet in loading port, then push the bolt back in and fire?
Or is there another "Cocking" stage before you can fire?
Thanks for your help
Andy

Am I right in thinking that this second cocking stage is only on the multi shot Falcon Actions?
Mitch,
depends on the type of multi shot!
The falcon "hawk" multi has an additional step that indexes the magazine (a button on the mag IIRC)
The falcon "raptor" multi is all in one - the bolt indexes the mag on the return stroke of cocking.
Mine's a raptor so anything I tell you bout the hawk is just off the top of my head!

Maybe perhaps for the Oggies but for the sophisticated English market who understand such things my Falcon has a separate cocking bolt besides the loading bolt.
Gives one time to contemplate the shot before remembering to open <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> the window.

There certainly is on mine. You have to pull back a cocking lever under the boltway about 1/2". I'm sure I've seen the same thing on pics of more modern Falcons than mine.

Ok how about more specifically the FT versions of the FN19, as a seperate cocking action would put me off (and I'm not welsh either!!)
Seperate cocking on the singles. In the photo (of a T/H) you can see the brass (in this case) bolt at the rear. You can see the cocking lever just below where the pellet is loaded.
Why would it put you off?
A lot of folk like it! It acts as a seperate safety device. You can pull back the bolt, load pellet, close bolt and gun cannot fire until you pull back the cocking lever. The ones I've had the cocking lever can be used to decock gun if you are not taking the shot (whistle blows on FT course etc....when you're ready to fire just re-cock and fire...pellet is already seated...no need to touch bolt...pretty simple really).

whoops and 'eres me taking the pee out of the taffs..
Multi is one conventional bolt same as AA - just up-back-down-up-fwd and the mag cycles
Single you put the pellet into the breech via loading bolt and then cock it with a separate cocking handle to the side. The cocking handle is on the outside and shoots fwd when you fire.
It's a nice idea as you can load and not cock until you are ready to shoot.

I think my preference for a Bolt Action and Cocking in one is due to my past experience of .22 blackpowder target rifles....I loved the simplicity
Aaah well, maybe it will have to be an S400 with FT stock (If I can find one)!
