well said gaz
someone has pointed me in the direction of a club so ill be trying to get to that
may be a little hard as i dont drive my self and parents dont have a car lol but ill try
can u just give me a idea off what scope to be using???
cheers
I use a Hawke Varmint 2 3x10x44 on my rimfire (£120), a Hawke Reflex 6x40 on my air rifle (£55) both are excellent value scopes with mill dot reticule. There are better and more expensive scope available but I have had a lot of success with these models. Remember you will need a set of good mounts otherwise you will not get value from your scope.
you wont go far wrong with a hawk varmint scope
Where abouts in Notts are you?
I can vouch for the Varmint scopes too, very good bit of kit for the money. The AGS 3-9x40 or 50 mildot scopes are ok too and quite a good price.
Depends how much you want to spend really. If you're that new then I'd agree with what the other chaps say, go to a club first and talk to a few people. You'll get good advice and more than likely you'll get to have a go with club/members guns.
