    New Air Arms?

    Rumour has reached my far flung archeapelago, (probably six months after every one else knows) that AA are releasing a "new" model in the new year, (S500/510?). This is supposedly in lieu of the now abandoned commercial release of the EV2 and is based around an improved (if thats possible?) and regulated 400/410 range, with various stock/action options and possibly interchangeable single/multi shot option, a-la-MK3/MFR, anyone any more details???.

    Please please Air Arms, fit the three element trigger that Nick Jenkinson was involved in, and now fits as an after-market mod. Not to do Nick out of the work, but it transforms an already superb gun. And it was left off the production 400 series to save costs.

    PS I was not originally an AA enthusiast but now I've got four........

    Air Arms are going to bring out a new rifle but it still Hush Hush I was lucky enough to see it and hold it when i was down at there factory a little while ago.They are also going to start a custom shop where you choose your basic rifle and then add on any extras you want.

    Any idea when their semi-recoilless springer will be launched? The prototype has been doing the rounds for some time now.

    You've heard about it too have you Rustam.
    We had it in Wales for a while on test, fine bit of kit if you ask me. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Somewhere in the future, a phone rings in some unnamed manufacturer's sales office]

    <ring! ring!>

    [Caller]: Hello, <insert manufacturer name here>? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Airgun manufacturer]: Good morning. How can I help you? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Caller]: Yes, I'd like to order a rifle to spec, thanks. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Airgun manufacturer]: Certainly. What would you like? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Caller]: Yes, can I have a Model PCPXY 0.22 sporter, with an unfinished stock, cheap stickers, a butt pad that falls off, poorly set up trigger, two magazines which dont index and doing about 8ftlb out of the box. Oh, and can you build it with dodgy o-rings which will fail in the first week? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Airgun manufacturer]: <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_redface.gif" alt="Red Face" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> I'm sorry sir - we make no such thing! <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_mad.gif" alt="Mad" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    [Caller]: <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin:--> But that's exactly what I got the last time I bought one of your rifles?

    OK - so I exaggerate. A little. I think.
    Fetching coat now.

    The prototype has been know to surface at BFTO under the watchful eyes of Ken Turner. Baz, says it can even go to FAC levels. Supposed to be cheaper than the SR too.

    Jim, you listening? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
