Rapid revisited

I'm flirting with entering Rapid territory again, and wondered if all you Rapid gurus would tell me which is the one to go for - Mk2 or a trusty Mk1. I'm not really interested in the MFR because I want FAC potential. I know you get fewer shots on the Mk1 but I've heard build quality is better.
