I had a 55 and a 54, I wasn't greatly impressed and prefer an FWB Sport or HW35, 77 or 80, I prefer the Weihrauchs because of the Record trigger, but I would like to try an FWB with a 2 stage trigger conversion.

Even I have to admit the BSFs are an aquired taste. The '54 is heavy and agricultural but built like a brick out house. The smaller, lighter '55/60 (and 65 ) is, when you've mastered the holding technique (i.e. loosely) is a joy to shoot.
The Rekord trigger though sways it even for me.

    Bsf

Hello all, T R Robb still makes PTFE piston washers and breach seals for the bigger BSF range if anyone is interested ?. myself and a couple of mates have shot BSF's for a while now and have always had good results using old pellets called Danish black box they call them pallets ? but havn't seen them sold for donkeys years , the Venom baveria shoots nice but no nicer than a standard 55 thats been well used and then re sprung and well lubed.

Hi from Canada.I've been looking for info on this for eons. Thanks to the info contained within this thread, I have now deduced that the basket case I bought last year is an S70.Does anyone know what the best seal replacement technique is?

Can anyone remember the hw/bsf hybrid from 1980ish advertised in the early airgun world mags? I'm not talking about the hw85 btw I wonder if any of these are still around.

Do you mean the BSF 80? I saw a very tidy HW85 only yesterday. The model with the BSF type raised scope rail.

No, it was a run of custom rifles assembled from both bsf and hw35 parts.

If you can get to the first few of years of airgun world and flick through I'm sure you will find them. When did it start...1978/79?

Gawd - you've done it now.

Jonesey was already in a state of high excitement at the thought of a BSF/Weihrauch hybrid - you'll have driven him into a frenzy now.

Perhaps we can get an emergency posse of Rivvis to speed around to his house and throw buckets of cold water over him until he calms down a bit?

Well i have one off those.
Its a hybrid off the old mod 55 and parts from Weihrauch.
And what i know they only did this from 85 - 86 maybe a little longer.
They stop when the parts came too an end.

Weihrauch also make the Venom model and its the same with that one, some BSF part and some Weirauch part.

I cant post any picture here so send me an e-mail if you want to see this "new" 55 model.
