Using some logic(?); I am looking at it and it appears that I should be following this sequence:
Remove end cap.Is there any load on this cap?
Slide back the scope mount, carefully lift and remove.
Remove trigger unit.
Compress the mainspring, then unscrew the round block/retainer(?).
Sorry Ive only just seen this and Im a bit late but for future reference.

The end cap only retains a trigger spring.
Undoing the 'round screw block located front of the trigger' WILL unleash the main spring pressure which should be done in a spring compressor while at the same time the scope rail, on a key-way must also be removed.
